As creatives, we often struggle the most with our website copy. If you’re stuck looking at a flashing cursor, not knowing what to write, consider our following FOUR TIPS to get you started.
Answer these two questions:
What does your business do? What problem do you solve?
When writing your copy, always talk more about your customers and less about you.
Include a CTA button as it will tell them what you want them to do next.
Don’t write an essay.
Make your copy scannable by using short sentences and bullet points with a casual tone.
Want something to stand out?
Try bolding, or using italics.
White space elevates your branding.
It allows your brain to take in what you’ve just read.
Cut out anything that isn’t needed.
Customers go to the About page to learn how you can help them!
Are you easy to work with and someone that would fit in with them and their needs?
Include Testimonials on your About Page
Instead of talking about yourself, let your testimonials sell you and your services.
We often get asked this question by our clients. And while some people are still on the fence, we always reply with a resounding YES!
By providing clear pricing information, you reduce the number of inquiries from potential customers about pricing.
We want you to have customers that differentiate you from your competitors and value your work.
This can help them make a faster and more informed decision about working or buying from you.
The FAQ section is often the most forgotten part when building a website.
Including it, however, is one of the easiest ways to provide valuable information to your audience, all in bite-sized pieces.
A FAQ section also helps boost engagement and user experience on your site.
If you get asked the same or similar questions constantly, these are the perfect ones to add to your FAQ section.
Doing so allows you to address these common concerns and provide solutions to your customers’ questions.
Plus, it adds an interactive and engaging element to your website.
You’ve added a beautifully curated range of designs to your website, and a potential Art Director views your site.
Everything looks impressive, and there are no broken links or issues.
The Art Director loves what they see and wants to contact you.
However, they can’t because you forgot to add how to get in touch with you. There’s no contact info, form or email details.
Art Directors and clients are busy, so don’t make them work even harder trying to find a way to track you down. (Or missing out completely).
Always give them the easy path and include all the ways to get in touch with you.
You can rest assured all our Website Templates include ways for potential Art Directors and clients to contact you.
Have you ever used testimonials in your business?
Testimonials and reviews on your website are incredibly valuable and can be game-changers for your business.
Here’s Why:
This builds trust, credibility, and confidence in your products or services. And helps attract new clients.
If you have yet to receive a testimonial, think of a client or customer you loved working with and start by asking them.
Keep it short and simple. Suggest they write a paragraph on how you helped them, what it was like working with you and where they were before meeting you compared to where they are now.
