When you’re in the process of gathering design inspiration, we always recommend stepping away from your computer. But in this case, sitting in front of your computer is where you need to be.
Public Domain Artwork
Artwork in the Public Domain is due to old age and when its copyright expires.
No longer is it protected by copyright, trademark or patent laws. Therefore, it’s free to use without permission from the original artist.
Public domain artwork can be a treasure trove for inspiration.
Rawpixel has the world’s best collection of public domain artwork – all free to download.
The collection consists of beautiful and timeless pieces that can be used in your designs.
Plus, due to their CC0 license, you can use them however you like, without copyright restrictions.
Here’s How it Works
On the Rawpixel website, go to the top menu and click on “Public Domain”.
From there, head to the search bar and start exploring Pattern Designs for example.
Be sure to change the pull-down menu on the right to “Designs”.
We searched for the great William Morris or chose from other incredible artists and artworks.
Click on your chosen artist and you’ll be taken to their collection.
Choose the image you like and hit the DOWNLOAD button.
